For this artwork, I utilized and applied the design principles I have learnt to date in order to express a location of my choice. The place becomes the subject of the composition in which the design principles are applied to capture the social and environmental aspects, and even the time/s effects that will best express our intention/interpretation for a particular location.

Rationale of my Artwork: 

I decided to choose a family photo and turned it into a digital painting style of artwork. It's the image of my mother, sister, and I traveling to Seoul, Korea, in 2016. It was six years ago and also the last time we traveled together. Now my mother is working overseas, and my sister is currently studying overseas. So it's been some time since I saw them. This is why I decided to use this image for this artwork as I miss them very much and also the time we traveled together.
