Don't Suffer In Silence

Poster Design

For this artwork, I created an A4-sized poster with the theme of mental health.

Depression is a common mental disorder yet serious illness, and it can cause severe emotional, behavioral and physical health problems. Therefore, if you’re facing any problem or feeling hopeless, please do not suffer in silence and keep everything to yourself. You should find someone or Taylor’s Centre for Counselling Services to talk with. Please keep in mind that there is always someone willing to be your listener and supporter.

Artist Statement:

  • For the title, I decided to use red color because it can portray a warning sign to the audience.

  • For the slogan, it is represented as the string of the paper cup phone. I also made it into three rows as I wanted to remind the audience that someone is willing to listen every time.

  • For the model, although the girl looks happy on the outside, she might be sad on the inside.

  • However, I believe after talking to someone, it’ll make the person feel better. Therefore, I decided to use a cloud image and add another bright color image for the background because I believe it gives a feeling of peace and comfortable vibes.
